Penser le présent avec Haegue Yang

Thursday 20 October 2022

7:00pm - 8:00pm

Amphithéâtre des Loges

14 rue Bonaparte, 75006 Paris

ENTRÉE LIBRE

The artist Haegue Yang creates installations composed of photographs, videos and sculptural elements from her philosophical and political research. Responding to the places where she exhibits, she creates new in-situ installations integrating both the architecture of the exhibition space and the materials collected around it. Her refined yet singular vision of materiality, combined with an elegant sense of space and atmosphere, contribute to the development of enveloping and resonant installations.

In 2018, Haegue Yang received the Wolfgang Hahn Prize from the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst, Museum
Ludwig, Cologne.

Haegue Yang's work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the following institutions: SMK, Copenhagen (2022); Tate St Ives, St Ives (2020); Museum of Modern Art, New York (2019); The Bass, Miami Beach (2019); South London Gallery (2019); Museum Ludwig, Cologne (2018); KINDL - Centre for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2017); Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg (2016); MuséeNational d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (2016), etc.
