Annette Joseph-Gabriel is an author and researcher in the fields of literature, culture and politics. She is Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Duke University, where she continues her research and teaches courses on Caribbean and African literature. Her book, Imaginer la libération: Des femmes noires face à l'empire, was published in 2023 by Éditions Rot-Bo-Krik.
Sarah Quesada is a lecturer in Romance Studies at Duke University in the United States. She works at the intersection of Atlantic World Studies, African Diaspora Studies and World Literature. Her first book, The African Heritage of Caribbean and Latinx Literature, published by Cambridge University Press (2022), deals with the colonial and imperial African heritage in Latin literature.
