The professional future of students is a priority of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Projects aiming at creating closer links with contemporary art professionnals are held with students and graduates and former students of the School.
During their studies, students have a set of proposals for the knowledge and experience of the professional world:
> Study abroad
Study and training outside the École constitute an integral part of students’ program of studies, and one or the other is compulsory in the 4th year. After completing the 1st cycle, 4th-year students move into the outside world, doing either a professional internship or a study abroad program in their 7th or 8th semester.
Students do their professional training periods in France or abroad in cultural or art institutions (museums, galleries, art centers, art schools, etc.) or companies (new technologies, graphics, production, fashion, etc.).
> Professional life cycle
Within the framework of the cultural events program, a specific cycle is proposed to the students and the young graduates. It informs about the professional art world, how it works, and new issues inthe art professional, providing them with additional tools for achieving better professional integration. This year, in addition to the presentation of the Maisons des artistes, and an introduction to management that includes a personalized career counseling session, a number of exhibition organizers, gallery operators and protagonists of new expression and exhibition spaces have been invited to speak.
> Resources: announcements of internships, jobs, calls for projects and competitions
The media library lists announcements of internships and employment, calls for projects, residences and competitions, which are also diffused every week to the students.
> The School also favors the creation project development proposed to the students by companies or partner institutions.
It was the case for Badoit or Coliposte by example.
The future of the graduates
> The alumni information and network center:
The center has been operating since the start of academic year 2010-2011.
This device of follow-up of the graduates holders of the Dnsap allows at the same time to federate all the graduates, to develop a network of contacts with the professional and institutional artistic domain world and to give a better visibility of the presence of the artists stemming from the School on the contemporary artistic scene.
A "directory-catalog", constantly fed, lists all the professional and artistic activities of each of the School graduates since 1990, thanks to the information communicated regularly and with the permanent day watch of their artistic current events.
Inquiries are realized to estimate better their occupational integration in all the domains of expression of their skills.
An electronic newsletter presents their artistic current events, proposes a set of calls for projects, scholarships, residences and practical information to build their professional project and allows to keep in touch with the life and the School current event and more particularly its cultural programming (cycle "professional Life") and its exhibitions.
> Prices and scholarships
Thanks to its partners and to donations and legacies from its history, the School can give every year several Prizes allowing to support financially the young graduates.
In the future, scholarships financed by private partners must be able to promote the projects of the young artists (publications, exhibitions).
> Post-graduate programs
The School also developed several post-graduate programs (link towards Training /post-graduate programs) oriented towards professional issues.
