After studying psychology, Monique Bonaldi worked as an assistant director, camerawoman and film editor with the Alpes Maritimes Departmental Directorate of Youth and Sports, the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique, the École Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud and various private production companies.
In 1992, she created the Beaux-Arts de Paris Video Techniques Studio. She endeavours to support all students in their projects by offering a program of technical training, screenings and practical exercises. Students are encouraged to express their individuality through a reflection on the moving image, its mechanisms and the different textual approaches to film as part of a continuous desire to explore the boundaries between cinema, documentary, experimental and contemporary art. Monique Bonaldi also makes experimental films.
