Introduction to storyboarding

Détail du cours

This workshop allows young people to learn about storyboarding and its different applications. Very used in communication, entertainment and design... this tool is essential to transcribe a scenario. By dividing an action into several drawings, one can thus expose a story.

During the workshop, they will deepen the concepts of sequential narration: targeting the decisive moments of an action in order to retranscribe a scene; creating meaning from a sequence of images. Students will discover the key notions of storyboarding (cutting, rhythm, composition...). They will also learn how to compose an image, create characters and environments to support the narrative and thus improve their drawing skills.

They will work on projects that are important to them: comics, films, photo novels, video games, etc. and will be able to develop and share their own practice within the group. At the end of the session, the story will be printed and bound at Beaux-Arts de Paris, and each student will have a copy.
