Drawing objects, these silent lives

Drawing objects, these silent lives

Détail du cours

Guided technical drawing course, aiming to develop the eye and the hand, to adapt one's line according to the subject. Thanks to the understanding of a volume, a material, shadows and lights which constitute the object to be interpret, the objective is to go towards a realistic representation in pencil of a selection of particular and diversified objects.

Starting from the specific character of each object (shape, material, roughness, opacity, mass...) each will be led to adapt their perception and practice of drawing in new ways.

After a short introduction to an artist and his or her drawing practice, each student will be given an object then will try to decipher it on paper: choice of the angle to be treated, setting in light and layout, reading and management of proportions, construction, simplification and work on the line, addition of shadows and lights thanks to academic techniques (hatching/grayed/blind). The end of each class will be dedicated to a convivial moment to exchange on the drawings of each one.
