Drawing the body in motion

Drawing is the tool that reveals our gesture, the extension of our hand, which through its fluidity and dexterity reveals our way of inhabiting the world and restoring it with singularity. This workshop proposes in a dynamic action to apprehend the various stages and processes of the realization of sketches. Sketches are made quickly by hand, they are notes without details, sketches necessary to bring out the essential: an attitude, a movement, an emotion, a place, an action.

Sketches made from live models (actor, dancer, mime) allow us to represent the body but also the decomposition of the movement. This approach makes us aware of the different nuances of perception: seeing, looking, observing. Exercises complete the training of the gaze with memory and dexterity, allowing us to explore a multitude of techniques with great freedom. 
To capture the fleeting in sketch requires moving from the studio first of all within the school: the Chapel, the amphitheatre of Honour, the drawing room, the garden. Prestigious places welcome us from time to time during rehearsals: theatre, opera, dance...
