Under the impetus of Marie-Madeleine Rigopoulos, artistic director of the Paris Book Festival 2022 and Christophe Ono-dit-Biot, writer and journalist, the National Book Center, in partnership with the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Hellenic Cultural Center, offers a marathon of readings aloud of Homer's Odyssey* by a host of writers and actors.

Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, Mathias Malzieu, Abd Al Malik, Olivia Ruiz, Marie Modiano, Maylis de Kerangal, Clotilde Courau, Karine Tuil, Jean-Christophe Rufin... as well as the sponsors of the event Francois-Henri Désérable and Maria Pourchet, will put into voice the famous text of Homer.

Within the framework of the Nuits de la lecture

A 6th edition with the theme: "Let's love again! Let's love again!"
The next Reading Nights, organized for the first time by the National Book Center (CNL) on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture.

These Reading Nights are more necessary than ever to conquer new readers and reaffirm, for all, the essential place of books and reading in our lives, as the President of the Republic wished by declaring reading "a great national cause".

From Thursday, January 20 to Sunday, January 23, 2022, the public will be invited to gather at thousands of physical and digital events, around the theme of love, which embraces the injunction of Victor Hugo: "Let's love always! Let's love again!

Libraries, media libraries, bookstores, but also museums, theaters, schools and universities, prisons and medical-social structures, the network of French cultural institutions and French bookstores abroad, will be invited to honor, during four evenings, the pleasure of reading and sharing love of books and books about love!
